I know I've said it before but it deserves repeating: I love Flaunt magazine. With the exception of AnOther, it is easily my favorite publication. Their editorials are intriguing, entertaining, and just a little bit on the dark side. The only thing that makes them any better is when they include an awesome chica like Meg Griffin Mila Kunis. Although the actress has kept things kind of on the downlow since her role in this year's film "Extract", you can certainly expect to see a lot more of Mila thanks to the three films she already has slated for a 2010 release. The first is an action/drama entitled "The Book of Eli" in which she costars alongside Denzel Washington (hello bigtime!) and one of the coolest men on the planet who I love and adore and worship, Tom Waits. Currently she's shooting the new Darren Aronofsky flick "Black Swan" alongside Natalie Portman and Winona Ryder. And, if reports are correct, she'll even share a little makeout sesh with Natalie for the film. Staring alongside Oscar winners, being featured in the globe's biggest fashion mags AND getting to swap spit with real life beau Macaulay Culkin? Talk about living the dream. And yes, making out with Macaulay is living the dream and you cannot tell my eight year old self otherwise. Besides, Mac was hot in "Party Monster". So There.
If Angelina Jolie ever needed an understudy, she might find one in the form of rising star Mila Kunis. Last night the Black Swan actress stepped out looking like the Hollywood A-lister's doppelgänger at a New York red carpet event. The 27-year-old star dressed demurely in a white trouser suit which looked strikingly similar to one worn by Angelina back in 2009 at the premiere of her partner Brad Pitt's movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Like the Lara Croft star, Mila has also taken on action roles, namely in the 2010 movie The Book of Eli, and played a younger version of Jolie in her 1998 film Gia. And over recent months, as she has seen her profile bolstered by the success of her latest movie, Mila has been favourably compared to Jolie. With their full lips, wide eyes and high cheek bones, it's not hard to see why.
Like Jolie, Mila has seen her weight fluctuate - she lost 20lbs (1st 6lbs) for her portrayal of Natalie Portman's understudy in the psycho-sexual ballet thriller Black Swan. Now the question is whether Mila can seize the moment and see her star rise as high as Jolie's and secure a firm place in the Hollywood A-list set.
'It doesn't happen very often and I'm not sure it'll happen again,' Kunis said of the attention she's been receiving recently. 'It's this ride that will ultimately end, but I'm trying to enjoy it.'
Last night Mila joined the likes of Russell Brand, Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley and Thor star Chris Hemsworth at Cosmopolitan magazine's Fun Fearless Males Of 2011 event at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City.
